SEPA-Direct-Debit is the payment for Europe

In order to make cashless payments throughout Europe easier, more efficient and safer, 2008, the Single Euro Payments Area SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) was created. SEPA provides uniform procedures and standards for credit transfers and direct debits.

A SEPA Direct Debit can be booked with or without a mandate.

If a mandate is missing, the chargeback risk for merchants is 13 months.
